The Big Band Dance Saturday, April 12th the cafeteria was jumping! If you were there, you already know that! If you weren't there, maybe you should plan on attending next year's dance! There are photos posted of the band members and the folks who joined in the fun for a great evening of FREE fun and entertainment. If you have photos of the evening, please send them along. National Honor Society The following TBB members are currently members of the NHS: Brady Amerson, Athena Birckbichler, Tyler Campbell, Elisa Nesbitt, Melanie Sessa and alum Rachel Saeler. Brady goes to All-State! Senior, Brady Amerson recently played Tenor Sax I with the Pennsylvania All-State Jazz Band! Chosen from taped auditions of students from across the commonwealth, Brady attended the State festival April 17 -19 including a concert at the Hershey Theatre, Hershey, PA. Congratulations, Brady! Pat Goes to All-State Orchestra! Sophomore, Patrick Fitz, who plays trumpet with the TBB recently played violin with the Pennsylvania All-State Orchestra April 17-19. The orchestra performed a concert at the Hershey Theatre. Congratulations, Pat! Way to go! Stephanie Goes to All-State Band! Senior, Stephanie Cicero, TBB drummer has played first chair percussion with the Pennsylvania All-State Concert Band recently. The band performed a concert at the Hershey Theatre. Congratulations, Steph! Way to go again! Laura Goes to All-State Chorus! Sophomore, Laura Lynn Crytzer, who plays trombone with the TBB recently sang with the Pennsylvania Music Educators All-State Chorus in Hershey, PA. Also singing was TBB alumnus and BHS Senior Rachel Saeler. Congratulations, Laura and Rachel! Way to go! District Jazz Festival Butler Area School District students blasted through District 5 Jazz auditions on Monday, February 4th at SRU! With several students auditioning for placement from both Butler high schools, 5 students made the cut! Way to go, Butler! Ashley is Miss Butler County! Ashley Duespohl, pianist for the Tornado Bid Band for three years, was selected Miss Butler County America on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Succop Theatre, Butler County Community College! She also competed for the title of Miss Pennsylvania America in June! For the talent portion of the pageant, Ashley performed Beethoven's "Sonata Pathetique" on the piano. She is now a sophomore at Duquesne University. Congratulations, Ashley! (and parents, Tom and Colleen, too!)
