2010 PMEA District V Orchestra On Saturday, January 16, 2010, four TBB members participated in the 2010 PMEA District V Orchestra concert at Warren Area High School in Warren, PA. Attending were Taylor Amerson (trumpet), Ian Compton (trumpet), Laura Lynn Crytzer (trombone), and Alex Barnhart (trombone). Ian and Laura have been selected by competitive audition to participate in the PMEA Region I Orchestra in Dubois, PA February 24 - 26, 2010. Congratulations to Laura Lynn on being designated as 1st Chair, 1st Trombone at this festival. 2010 PMEA District V Honors Jazz Band On Tuesday, January 19, 2010 Students from high schools in Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer Counties auditioned for the PMEA District V Honors Bands at Swope Hall on the campus of Slippery Rock University. TBB members selected for participation in Band 1 were Chris Zanella (Alto Sax 2), Zach Cavaliero (Tenor Sax 1), Laura Lynn Crytzer (Trombone 2), and David Thompson (drums). Selected for Band 2 were Patrick Fitz (Trumpet 2), Taylor Amerson (Trumpet 5), David McCandless (Baritone Sax), and Alex Barnhart (Bass Trombone). The concert will be held on Saturday,February 6, 2010 at Swope Hall. 2010 PMEA District V BandThis just in off the presses. The PMEA District V Band Selections Committee has just reported to Mr. Kroner that four TBB members have been selected for the 2010 PMEA District V Band to be held at Rochester High School on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, February 10 - 12, 2010. A concluding concert will be presented at 7:00 PM on Feb 12.TBB members selected to perform with the District V Band are percussionist David Thompson, trumpeter Patrick Fitz, trombonist Laura Lynn Crytzer, and alto saxaphonist Jennifer Croft. Other Butler students selected for the Honors Band were flute: Kaelee Franko; clarinets: Ashley Moon, Chloe Drennen, Matt Lachesky, Marissa DeCola; contra-alto Clarinet: Haley Ratica; french horn: Ben Francis; and percussionist: Brad Bailey. The PMEA District V is comprised of all high schools in Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer Counties. |
International Operatic Star Marianne Cornetti and the Butler High School Quartet performed in concert with the Butler County Symphony Orchestra at the Annual Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the BIHS Auditorium. TBB members of the Quartet are Patrick Fitz and Laura Lynn Crytzer. The other two members of the Quartet were B.J. Hyatt, and Laurel Wain. Also pictured is the Quartet's coach Mrs. Lynn Crytzer. Patrick has also been performing as a member of the Violin Section of BCSO this year.
